US rapper and music producer, BeatKing passes away at age of 39

American rapper and music producer, Justin “BeatKing” Riley has died at the age of 39.

His manager confirmed his death in an Instagram post confirming the tragic loss saying, ““Today, Aug. 15, 2024, we have lost BeatKing,” Felder wrote. “BeatKing has been the best part of the club for over a decade. He has produced and worked with so many artists that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters, his music, and his fans. We will love him forever.”

"Our hearts are heavy with the news that BeatKing, family to us here at 97.9 The Box and Radio ONE Houston, has passed away," said Houston's 97.9 The Box, where BeatKing was considered family. Although this is a developing story, we are offering our condolences to his friends, peers, and the whole Houston community. BeatKing, you are loved."

BeatKing's greatest-known attributes were his musical style and his important influence on Southern hip-hop culture in the early 2000s. He won over fans and fellow musicians with his catchy beats and creative marketing techniques, which catapulted him to fame. 

 

Because of his collaborations with well-known musicians like 2 Chainz, Moneybagg Yo, and Erica Banks, BeatKing's influence went beyond Houston. His unique approach and hit-making prowess made him a revered figure in the rap scene.
