US Election: Obama endorses Kamala Harris
Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, has endorsed Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president.
Obama made the recommendation on Tuesday when speaking to party supporters.
As vice president for eight years, he is anticipated to honor outgoing President Joe Biden.
Using his well-known oratory skills, he thunderously endorsed Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee.
Obama, who began his career in politics in Chicago, has not made much of an appearance since he left office in January 2017.
Nonetheless, he continued to be a widely well-liked public figure and one of the most influential leftist voices.
If Harris defeats Republican Donald Trump in November, she will become the first Asian American, Black, and female vice president in American history.
The US has never had a female president.
Additionally scheduled to speak on Tuesday night are Harris' spouse, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, and former first lady Michelle Obama.
The celebration was intended to help Harris advance into the fall as the competition nears its conclusion.
On Thursday night, she is scheduled to give an address on the convention stage.
