Nigerians arrested in Haiti for faking nationality

On August 18, two Nigerians were taken into custody by Haitian authorities on suspicion of possessing fraudulent Haitian national identification cards.


In Jacmel, Haiti, the suspects, Madukanze Kenneth, 31, and Henry Peter, 29, were placed under arrest.According to Haiti, Kenneth was discovered with an ID card that said "Augustin Jerry," and Peter's ID card said "Junior Jean Pierre."

The arrests were publicized on social media by the South East Police Department in Haiti, which emphasized their dedication to keeping up their "tireless" work of catching criminals and upholding the law.
