Manchester City's hearing for 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules to start next month

Next month, Manchester City will begin its hearing into 115 alleged violations of Premier League financial rules.

The 10-week hearing is set to start next month. The Premier League winners are defending 115 distinct allegations of financial rule violations. This information was revealed last night.

Relegation is the harshest punishment if proven guilty for the nine years starting in 2009 when City is suspected of financial malfeasance. Other possible penalties include fines and point deductions.

The League accused City of failing to submit appropriate financial data as well as accurate information about payments made to managers and players.

Der Spiegel's publication of Football Leaks materials in 2018 set off an investigation, and City is being accused of using sponsors in the United Arab Emirates to launder money from the club's owners.
