Samsung unveils AI televisions

The newest Neo QLED 8K and 4K models as well as OLED TVs are part of Samsung Electronics' 2024 television lineup, which was recently unveiled in Lagos.

The South Korean company said in a statement that the new lineup includes cutting-edge AI-driven technology intended to improve the home entertainment experience.

“The Neo QLED 8K stands as the flagship of Samsung’s latest TV lineup, equipped with the advanced NQ8 AI Gen3 processor and marking a significant leap in AI TV technology,” the company said.

The manufacturer emphasized that this processor has an eight-fold increase in neural networks from 64 to 512 and a Neural Processing Unit that doubles speed over its predecessor, guaranteeing superb viewing with clear details from any input source.

“It brings out the finest details with outstanding clarity and naturalness, from facial expressions to the subtlest nuances,” the firm added.

The 8K AI Upscaling Pro enables customers to enjoy a degree of detail and visual clarity that surpasses traditional 4K TVs by closely matching their favorite shows and movies to the 8K display.

Fast action is smoothed and made crisper with the AI Motion Enhancer Pro, a feature that Samsung called "a dream for sports fans."

The newest TVs from Samsung were made to instantly establish a connection with a smart ecosystem.

“The moment users turn on their new Samsung TV, the TV recognizes and connects to existing networks and devices, all orchestrated through a simple notification on users’ smartphones,” Samsung noted.
