NNPCL gives reason for fuel scarcity in Nigeria, reveals solution

According to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, distribution issues are the cause of the gasoline shortage that has been reported in Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory, and other areas of the nation.

This is in response to the company's statement that it is working nonstop to complete the challenge by midweek.

This was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by Olufemi Soneye, the company's spokeswoman.

This occurs as the nation's gasoline shortage gets worse.

Nonetheless, NNPCL, Nigeria's only gasoline importer, guaranteed that it was collaborating nonstop with all parties involved in the oil and gas industry to restore normalcy.

“The NNPC Ltd regrets the tightness in fuel supply witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT (Federal Capital Territory), which is a result of distribution challenges.

“The company further urges motorists to shun panic buying as it is working round the clock with relevant stakeholders to restore normalcy,” it said.
