Nigeria loses out on all medals as 2024 Paris Olympics ends
The 2024 Summer Olympics came to an official close today, Sunday, after taking place in Paris on Friday, July 26.
August 11 is the concluding day of sports competitions and the day of the Stade de France closing ceremony.
As of August 11th, the United States was topping the Olympic medal standings, with Nigeria nowhere to be found among the victorious teams.

With its 40th gold medal, the United States of America topped the medal table.
With the same amount of gold medals as the United States, China finished in second place.
Australia is ranked fourth with eighteen gold medals, whereas Japan is ranked third with twenty.
Host nation France slipped to the fifth spot, with 16 golds.
However, following a poor run of events, Nigeria missed out on all medals despite the efforts of all athletes.
France, the host country, dropped to sixth place with 16 golds.
Notwithstanding the efforts of all participants, Nigeria was unable to secure any medals due to a dismal sequence of events.
